The VOANS Pace Seniors Center Project is located in the Research Triangle Park area and was a 20,000 +/- sq ft renovation project for Volunteers of America. This consisted of complete interior demolition and new up-fit including clinical examination rooms, commercial kitchen, ceramic tile showers, exercise rooms, dining facilities, library, chapel, class room and hobby work rooms, as well as staff offices.
This center functions as a senior day care facility, with seniors from the Raleigh/Durham area being brought in on a daily basis by bus and van service. All new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems were installed, as well as all new partitions, ceilings, fixtures and finishes.

This project had a rigorous 110 day schedule in order to get the facility open, staffed and licensed by their deadline. WEAVERCOOKE completed the project by staffing and maintaining a 7 days a week schedule. We completed the project ahead of schedule and under budget and once again made our client extremely happy. They will continue to develop these centers in North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee and other states in the Southeast, and expressed an interest in WEAVERCOOKE building those facilities as well.

“We have been pleased with WEAVERCOOKE’s delivery of several finished projects for Volunteers of America of the Carolinas. Each of these projects has been of a high quality and our expectations have been met on a consistent basis.”
